Coach: Jarrod Owen
20-21 Record: 7-10
Coach Jarrod Owen returns a ton of talent off a team that made it to the area tournament last season. Owen said his senior leadership is key this season. “We return everyone off an area tournament team, led by our four seniors and will lean on their leadership to continue our success into the 21-22 season. We have great leadership on our team and a determined dedicated group that is ready to prove ourselves again this year. Newcomer Jayda Holiman will look to give us another weapon for teams to contend with,” said Owen. Stevie Stinchcomb (5-5, Sr.) will start at point guard and is one of those leaders coach Owen mentioned. Stinchcomb is a floor general and has committed to Emporia State University. Elizabeth Milligan (5-10, Sr.) starts at guard and brings her athleticism to the floor. She is a tough matchup for most guards. Kaydence Beshear (5-9, Sr.) starts at forward with Mariah Guyer (5-6, Sr.). Beshear is a leader on and off the court. She has worked extremely hard throughout her career and has developed into one of the most dependable players on the team. Jayda Holiman (5-6, Jr.) may be a newcomer to the team, but her impact will be felt immediately. Also look for Jada Ponce and Kynli Jones. Jones is a two-sport athlete and someone who can contribute on both ends of the court.
