McAlester’s Kaydence Beschear named VYPE girls basketball unsung hero.

VYPE: Kaydence, what does this team and your teammates mean to you?
Beshear: Being a part of the McAlester Lady Buffaloes and representing my town means so much. My teammates are my best friends. They’re the 18 family members I didn’t know that I had.
VYPE: When you hear coach Owen call you an unsung hero of this team, what does that mean to you and how do you define that term?
Beshear: What being the unsung hero of the team means to me is a lot. No one ever really ask questions to me but when they do, I’m there every step of the way to guide them through their question. I define being the unsung hero as an accomplishment on my behalf because even though barely anyone notices my good deeds I do and that makes my heart happy, because I try to the best of my ability.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what are your plans after you graduate?
Beshear: I’m a senior, and after I graduate, I plan to graduate from Oklahoma State University and become an international flight attendant.
